Hello new Members and welcome to the forum.

If you haven’t found your way to the ‘Chin wag’ section, you may not know about the get-together in Leicester on Saturday 24th April. All members, families and friends are invited and would be made very welcome. It is held at The Hilton Hotel, Leicester and we shall all gather together for an informal buffet lunch. Some of us are staying at the Leicester Hilton Friday and Saturday nights - some just one night, and some just come for lunch.

Please see my later post as the deadline for lunch has been extended to Thursday 22nd April
The deadline for numbers is Monday 19th April.

Details are: 3 course buffet lunch (with hot and cold choices). The cost will be the same as last year: £15 per head, half price for children.

You may book rooms with the booking reference ‘NRAS’ at special rates of:
£70 per night for 2 people including full breakfast
£55 per night for 1 person including breakfast.
If you book this way, it is possible to cancel. The number is 0116 2630066
You may be able to get a better deal online, but these have to be paid for up front and you are not able to cancel them.

If you stay at the hotel, you can use the leisure facilities free of charge.
Those just staying for lunch can use them for a small charge.

The hotel is about 3 miles from Leicester Train Station, but I am sure we can arrange between ourselves to pick people up if they are without transport.

IF YOU ARE SURE YOU ARE COMING, Please email details to me at monty21@ntlworld.com with full names and whether you are staying at the hotel.

Hi Everyone,

This is a last call in the hope I can persuade some of the new members to come for the lunch at The Hilton Hotel, Leicester, this Saturday 24th April.

We have to have a minimum number of people attending and we are dangerously close to that number.

It is not too late to let me know if you are coming. Family, children and friends are also very welcome.

If you would like to come for lunch, please let me know by Thursday evening latest. The hotel have allowed me to extend the deadline.
My telephone number is 0116 2994954 0116 2994954. Mobile 07711704562.

I believe the hotel is fully booked, but if anyone wants to come and stay overnight, there is a Premier Inn up the road!

We had a lovely time last year. We are all VERY friendly; hotel is disabled friendly and the staff were so very kind and helpful.

Please do come and meet us all. You won't regret it

Warmest wishes, Ann

I'm so jealous! I would love to come up for the lunch but I wouldn't manage to drive the three hours to Leicester and back AND the kids have to be back in Bristol by lunchtime on Sunday. Just looked up rail fares and I'd be looking at £92 cheapest!

Count me in next time!

Hi Joanna,
Whereabouts in North Somerset? Only, you could come with me and Sophie if you like - Im not too far away. We are going for the day only so you could be back home same day - are you on facebook?
Hi Dawn, I would so LOVE to be in Cornwall! There is a map you can access via here someone may have the link - but perhaps if you go into "search" and look for map it might show up - it gives an idea of where people are located so might answer your question.
Or we could always all relocate to the sea! Set up our own little village, sounds a great idea to me :)

Hi!

I'm just outside Bristol ... where are you?

I'd love to go but I think I've left it too late to reorganise existing plans. I've got my children with me this weekend. Thanks for the offer though ... much appreciated!

I am on facebook ... I don't know how it all works ... I've managed to join the NRAS group recently and I know how to write a message but that's the extent of my knowledge! RollEyes
